Andrew Tauhert is the Chief Impact Officer at XPRIZE, responsible for building and growing the foundation’s ecosystems of donors, sponsors, partners, visionaries and thought leaders who support and guide our work. He also leads the programs that measure and monitor the impact XPRIZE has on the world through the effects of our prizes and the achievements of those innovators who have competed on XPRIZEs since the foundation’s inception.

Andrew came to XPRIZE with over 25 years of experience driving successful results in large enterprises and startups operating throughout high tech, telecom/networking, data and AI. Andrew is the former COO of Prodea Systems, a leader in Internet of Things Solutions, as well as Founder and Managing Director of VaticX Inc., a global accelerator with best practices to optimize value creation for growth stage AI, DLT, IoT, and Edge Computing companies.

As the COO of Prodea Systems, Andrew was responsible for overseeing all product, engineering, IT, operations, sales and marketing for the company as it established its leadership position in the global Internet of Things (IoT) market. Prior to that, at Prodea, Andrew led the company’s global sales and marketing activities as EVP of Sales & Business Development – achieving the first significant commercial rollouts of IoT solutions across five continents. During this same period, Andrew also spearheaded Prodea’s ecosystem partnerships and corporate development activities, including the acquisition of Arrayent, Inc., the leading IoT platform as a service provider for consumer brands.

Prior to joining Prodea, Andrew held senior-level positions at Nortel and Bell Northern Research in both business and engineering across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Through his time at Nortel, Andrew was a key force in leading the rollouts of Nortel’s 2G/3G wireless data network deployments, driving the evolution of Nortel’s high-capacity optical networks product portfolio and architecting the a next generation of voice switches for Nortel’s expansion into global international telecommunications markets.
